The Biblical Studies Concentration prepares students with a strong biblical foundation to serve God and neighbor in today’s complex world. Students learn how to interpret scripture and apply it to their everyday living in a way that is relevant to their community and culture. All studies are based upon English language texts and expose the students to a wide range of possibilities within Christian ministry service. These studies are designed to empower the student to meet the challenge of contextualizing the Gospel in an increasingly urbanized, international and technological global community.
The courses offered in Missions and Intercultural Studies are designed to prepare the student as a missional leader to engage in cross-cultural ministry locally and globally. This training provides a range of applied and academic disciplines suitable for local church focused ministry and also missions work in diversified world contexts. Within the overall programs offered there are special sections that are geared towards equipping Christian believers to engage in holistic ministry in today’s multicultural world.
The courses offered in Christian Ministries are designed for those in the Christian community who find the on-campus approach demanding residential studies and training for a vocation of Christian Ministry impractical. Because of the need for a non-traditional methodology, NCIU developed a high quality, self-motivating, and self-disciplining curriculum for the off-campus approach. The courses consist of conservative evangelical and Pentecostal Bible teaching through textbooks, research, assignments, and deductive reasoning. Vision-focused courses are provided for each student with mentoring by supportive faculty, including the inclusion of field internships under supervision where practicable.
NCIU is committed to a Christian philosophy of education. This means all courses provided by the university are conditioned and directed from a Christ-centered, biblical perspective. The goal of the program is to provide study texts and guided research resources that enable the student in gaining a theocentric understanding of all aspects of the education process. Students are exposed to both an examination of the biblical theology that frames religious education and the history of education development, as well as reviewing contemporary trends and directions in a post-modern secular or pluralistic society.
The Christian Counseling programs offered by NCIU provides students with access to a number of courses based upon the convictions that God’s Word should be the counseling authority of the Christian Church, and that counseling should be part of the basic discipling ministry of a local church through the ministry service of well-trained and equipped Christian believers. Courses are provided that enable understanding of secular psychologies and their impact upon the post-modern communities of urban societies.Download Course Catalog
This outstanding certification award by the CPCA is comparable to the commonly understood “accreditation” designation with some valuable differences to the Christian community educating and equipping future ministers for Christian service. In response to the faith-based community of Christian educators' needs, CPCA has purposely chosen the term “Certified” instead of “Accredited.”
For an understanding of these differences please see, “21st Century CPCA Certification Faith-Based Alternative to USDE CHEA Approved Accreditation” at http://cpca-edu.us/certification-copy/.
Simply put, CPCA certification is the Christian response to the high costs of education and government intrusions into accredited theological programs, while maintaining the highest academic standards.
Because of the CPCA certification, New Covenant International University & Seminary can offer affordable, accessible, and truly Bible-based bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees. In today’s world of overpriced degree programs that are highly influenced by liberalized views of Scripture and government mandates, NCIU is honored to hold the highly esteemed CPCA Certification.
NCIU operates under the following Florida legislative provisions to provide religious degrees and awards for religious vocations:
New Covenant International, Inc., is a Florida incorporated non-profit educational organization, that has established a private non-public post-secondary institution for the purpose of providing academic degrees and other educational programs that prepare students for religious vocations as ministers, professionals, or laypersons in the categories of Bible and Theology, Christian Ministry, Christian Mission and Intercultural Studies, Christian Pastoral Counseling, and Religious Education.
