1. Purposes
1.1 The policy commits NCIU to maintain and improve the quality of its teaching and learning provision through the processes of continuous improvement and quality assurance.
1.2 The policy applies to all Staff and Students.
1.3 The policy supports the following strategic aims of the Institution:
- To improve levels of student achievement at NCIU
- To improve levels of student retention at NCIU
- To add value to the educational lives of students in a variety of ways
- To enhance the professionality of NCIU’s academic and administrative staff
1.4 The policy supports the Institution by

2.2 The NCIU quality process involves the following elements:
- Reporting
- Staff self-assessments
- Staff CPD courses
- Regular monitoring of mentoring sessions
- Checking the quality of assignment reviews
- Tutor meetings
- Staff working groups
- Curriculum update meetings between Chief Academic Officer and Registrar
- Annual or bi-annual student satisfaction survey
- Evaluation of student feedback forms
- LMS student experience evaluations
- Development of new courses in response to social, theological or missiological new developments
